Navistar International Corp. entrusted Partners by Design with the task of reimagining its 88-acre corporate campus in Lisle, Illinois, as a hub for cutting-edge transportation solutions. Serving as the master planner and architect of record, Partners by Design undertook a comprehensive redevelopment effort, modernizing nine existing buildings housing offices, labs, and a customer care center.
The transformation included key features such as a 7,500-square-foot entry pavilion designed to serve as a customer experience center, showcasing Navistar’s diverse range of vehicles. The exterior received a facelift with entry canopies, way-finding elements, and product displays, while a former garage space was converted into a 25,000-square-foot vehicle review center with workshops and offices.
Adding to the innovative redesign, a 15,500-square-foot Design Center was established for prototype production and fostering creativity. The exterior master plan featured sports courts, pavilions, patios, an outdoor café, and a dedicated truck display area. Partners by Design also enhanced the campus with a host of amenities, including an executive boardroom suite, a cafeteria, fitness centers, a learning center, coffee bars, and an on-site auditorium. Through meticulous planning, Partners by Design successfully transformed Navistar’s campus into a dynamic space that not only meets operational needs but also reflects a commitment to innovation and excellence in the transportation industry.
