Consumers Credit Union (CCU), a not-for-profit financial institution dedicated to meeting the unique banking needs of individuals and businesses, has undertaken a comprehensive interior renovation of an existing suburban office building. This project transforms the three-story structure, along with its lower level, into a vibrant and amenity-rich workplace totaling 140,000 square feet.
The lower level is designed to enhance employee experience with a full-service cafeteria and a café featuring a Starbucks barista, offering high-quality dining options for both staff and visitors. Additionally, a game room and library, complete with a fireplace, create a cozy atmosphere for relaxation and informal meetings. The renovation includes a fully equipped fitness center and multiple training rooms, promoting employee wellness and professional development.
To improve accessibility and encourage movement throughout the building, a new staircase was added between the first floor and the lower level, enhancing connectivity to the amenity spaces. Aninviting terrace was created to facilitate outdoor meetings and social gatherings, enriching the overall workplace environment. This renovation reflects CCU’s commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere for its employees, ultimately enhancing collaboration and well-being. Branding was done by Spark Chicago.
