  • “There is a delicate balance in design that requires knowing your limits and using them to the best of your ability. This will always result in a happy client and a personal sense of accomplishment.”

Elise Herenton had long dreamed of living in Chicago since her early college days, which led her to intern at Brynn Olson Design Group in the city during the summer of 2019. Her formal career in Interior Design commenced in Little Rock, AR at Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects in 2021, where she gained extensive experience in commercial, corporate, and healthcare design. In late 2023, Elise made the move to Chicago to join Nia Architects, focusing on projects in affordable housing. With a background in architecture education, she has cultivated a deep passion for light, form, and shadow, all of which profoundly influence her work as an Interior Designer. Elise often describes herself as an architecturally trained artist, drawing on her design school education to inform her illustration style, emphasizing line weights and form composition.
